About

Audio Adrenaline

Audio Adrenaline was a prominent American Christian rock band formed in the late 1980s at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky.

History

Originally founded as A-180 by Mark Stuart, Barry Blair, Will McGinniss, David Stuart, and Bob Herdman, the group changed their name to Audio Adrenaline upon signing with ForeFront Records. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, they became a powerhouse in the Christian rock scene, driven by youth group anthems like "Big House". The band's original run ended in 2007 due to lead singer Mark Stuart's vocal cord issues. They later reformed with new lineups, notably featuring former dc Talk member Kevin Max as the lead vocalist for a period.

Musical Style and Legacy

Blending pop rock, alternative rock, and grunge elements, Audio Adrenaline was instrumental in bringing energetic, guitar-driven rock music to Christian youth. In addition to their musical achievements, the band founded the Hands and Feet Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to building and operating orphanages in Haiti.

Awards

The band earned numerous accolades during their career, including Grammy Awards for Best Rock Gospel Album for their critically acclaimed releases Worldwide (2003) and Until My Heart Caves In (2005).
