About

Narnia is a Swedish neoclassical metal and power metal band with Christian themes, formed in 1996 by vocalist Christian Liljegren and guitar virtuoso CJ Grimmark. The group is often cited as one of the pioneers and greatest exponents of the "White Metal" genre in Europe, known for a sound inspired by artists like Yngwie Malmsteen and Rainbow.

The band's journey began with the album Awakening (1997), which gained immediate success in Japan. However, it was with Long Live the King (1998) that Narnia consolidated its identity, combining epic lyrics with orchestral arrangements and technical solos. After a hiatus starting in 2010, the band returned in 2014, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as Ghost Town (2023), reaffirming its relevance in contemporary melodic metal.
