Biography
RED is an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2002 by guitarist Anthony Armstrong, bassist Randy Armstrong, and lead vocalist Michael Barnes. The group rose to prominence with their debut album, End of Silence (2006), which received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Gospel Album.
The band's sound is defined by a signature mix of heavy guitar riffs, electronic elements, and orchestral string arrangements, often drawing comparisons to acts like Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin, yet maintaining a unique lyrical focus on existential and spiritual themes. Over two decades, RED has released acclaimed projects such as Innocence & Instinct and Until We Have Faces, with the latter peaking at number two on the Billboard 200.
